The Shear System is a high security permanent fastener. Both the shear nut and the shear bolt have a hexagon part which shears off at a predetermined torque. Installed using standard hex socket or spanner. Once installed, the shear nut leaves a tamper resistant cone. Stainless steel is a family of iron-based alloys that contain a minimum of approximately 11% chromium, a composition that prevents the iron from rusting, as well as providing heat-resistant properties.
