Quad-Rings are four lipped seals with a specially developed sealing profile which are characterized by their annular form with a four lipped profile. They have almost the same sealing principle as the O-ring however provide less friction than the conventional O-ring. There is no spiral twist which eliminates the tendency to roll in the groove. The sealing is achieved by the diametrical squeeze in a right angled groove. The system pressure creates a positive sealing force.
