Power tools are technically power-driven hand tools or portable power tools. With these names power tools can be distinguished from stationary power tools such as the drill presses. Power tools are classified as either stationary or portable, where portable means hand-held and are considered by the market as most advantageous in their usage. While power tools are generally driven by electricity, the category also includes small pneumatic tools driven by compressed air, such as air impact wrenches, angle grinders, straight or die grinders, drills, and hammers. What is also considered a power tool is the cordless type of identical design to the electricity and air-driven tools, which is a growing versatile type of power tools. Gasoline-engine-driven tools such as chain saws, gas-powered drills and so on are not to be considered power tools.
